What are hidden pages?

A hidden page, indicated by the "Hide in Navigation" option, is a page that exists in the backend but does not appear in the site's navigation menu, making it inaccessible to users unless they have a direct link.

Hiding a page is useful when you want to keep content available for specific users (like administrators or editors), conduct maintenance or updates without removing the page entirely, or manage landing pages, promotional content, or draft versions that shouldn't be publicly accessible until finalized.

Hide a page

  • Access the Page Module: Click on the "Page" module in the left sidebar to open the page tree.
  • Select the Page: Locate the page you want to hide in the page tree and click on it to select it.
  • Open Page Properties: In the top toolbar, click on the "Page" button (or right-click the page and select "Edit") to open the Page Properties dialog.
  • Hide in Navigation: In the Page Properties dialog, look for the option labeled "Hide in Navigation" (usually found in the "Access" or "Zugriff" tab) and check the box next to it.
  • Save Changes: Click the "Save" button to apply the changes.

Open a hidden page in the frontend
